What is not accepted?

We can't accept clothes or any soft furniture items (bedroom or lounge furniture) without a fire certificate.If you're not sure, you're welcome to give us a call on 07789069274 and we'll be able to tell you if we can accept your item.

Why donate to Recycle Your Bits?

We are a not-for-profit organisation. The goods you donate are given to people in need or sold to raise funds for activities and support here on the estate.We collect donated furniture and household items, restore and upcycle them where possible, and make them available at low cost to local people. This helps families access essential items affordably while preventing usable goods from ending up in landfill. More than just a recycling project, Recycle Your Bits is a space for learning, volunteering, and building confidence. For many, it offers a supportive environment to develop skills, improve well-being, and connect with others. The project works closely with partners, including Vico Homes, and other local organisations to ensure items are redistributed where they are most needed.
