About

Welcome to the Warwick Ahead project. We run the Local Hub in the Warwick Estate in Knottingley and Recycle Your Bits shop.

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund in 2026, these spaces can stay open and continue delivering activities that bring our community together. The project will also be widening the health and wellbeing activities offered, helping you to access help locally when you need it.

Our mission is to help people in the local community feel good about themselves and proud of where they live.

We do a range of different work so that residents of all ages can access support and feel part of a thriving community.

Recycle Your Bits Shop

This is a friendly community space where people can connect, access support, and take part in a range of activities. From coffee mornings to wellbeing activities, we’re here to bring people together and help everyone feel part of the community.

Community Events

Join us for exciting events that bring the community together, with family friendly activities like donkey rides and our very own Santa's Grotto at Christmas!

This is a community-led furniture re-use and recycling shop based next door to the Warwick Ahead Hub in Knottingley. The project exists to reduce waste, support residents, and create opportunities for people to get involved in the community.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in what we do and make a difference for the local community. We are looking for people who can help with events, at our shop, and with activities.

The Warwick Ahead Community Group is a small community organisation, run by a management committee of local residents.
